Operator, website and agreement

These Terms & Conditions apply to Onooks Dev, the developer-information and community website at www.onooks.com. They cover articles, guides, comments, member accounts, community contributions and other features offered through the website.

Publisher: Onooks Dev · LiMiT. For legal-operator identification and privacy rights, see our Privacy Policy.

Contact: [email protected] · Contact form.

By using the website and any optional account or posting functionality, you agree to the applicable rules described here, subject to mandatory laws. If you do not accept the community or account terms, you should not use those optional features. Your statutory rights are not excluded by these Terms.

02 / Terms

Website purpose and distinction from Onooks.org

Onooks Dev provides general-purpose developer information: programming tutorials, debugging references, software-development commentary and a community for related discussions. Its articles and member contributions are informational; they are not individualized consultancy, technical support service-level agreements or warranties of successful deployment.

Onooks.com and Onooks.org are separate websites with different purposes. Onooks.org is associated with the OOKS crypto project; use of Onooks Dev does not mean you are buying tokens, entering a financial transaction or receiving an investment recommendation. We do not promise trading, token performance or investment returns through these Terms.

03 / Terms

Access and accounts

Most public articles can be viewed without a member account. Optional accounts and community features may require registration or login, including the information displayed in WordPress or community registration forms. Users must submit accurate registration information they are authorized to provide and must not impersonate another person or organization.

You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials, for activity under your account where legally appropriate, and for promptly reporting suspected account compromise. We may require verification or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, moderation, abuse prevention or legal compliance.

If you are under the age at which you may independently consent to relevant online services under applicable law, use any account or contribution features only with the legally required parent or guardian involvement. We do not claim to perform automated age verification.

04 / Terms

Community participation and acceptable use

We welcome constructive questions, independently verified technical explanations and respectful collaboration. You may not:

  • publish illegal threats, harassment, hate-based abuse or material that unlawfully exposes personal information;
  • impersonate people, use deceptive account identities or misrepresent authorization;
  • post malicious software, credential-stealing tools, active phishing links or instructions intended to compromise systems without authorization;
  • spam, mass-post irrelevant or duplicative material, manipulate ratings or flood member communications;
  • upload copyrighted works, private records or commercially confidential data without a lawful right to do so;
  • attempt unauthorized access, security probing, denial-of-service activity, automated scraping that breaches applicable law or platform security measures;
  • misuse the community for unlawful promotions, scams or misleading financial claims.

Authorized security research and legitimate educational security discussion are not automatically prohibited; context, permission and foreseeable harm matter.

05 / Terms

User contributions and their visibility

Members remain responsible for their own posts, comments, discussions, profile information, files and other submissions. Public contributions may be indexed by search engines or reproduced by third parties, and some content may remain visible after an account is closed when retention is lawful.

Before sharing any code, ensure you have the right to publish it and that it does not contain keys, passwords, credentials, proprietary configurations or client information. Do not assume private messages provide encrypted confidential storage.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, public posts reflect their authors’ views rather than the operator’s endorsement. We may display contextual notices or corrections where a post becomes inaccurate, misleading, abusive or outdated.

06 / Terms

Intellectual property and contribution licences

The website’s original design, editorial copy, trademarks, logo and other publisher-owned content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party code, images, quoted materials and community contributions remain subject to their respective owners’ rights and licences.

When you submit content, you retain ownership of material you lawfully own. You grant LiMiT a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for as long as needed to operate the service or lawfully preserve its records, to host, reproduce, format, display, distribute through the website and technically adapt that submission for publication, moderation, backups and ordinary community functionality. This does not transfer ownership or allow us to sell your work as a standalone proprietary asset. You confirm you have permission to grant the licence.

Source-code licences, open-source notices and third-party attribution conditions take precedence for the code to which they apply. If an article contains third-party code, verify that licence before reuse. A public code snippet without an explicit licence is not necessarily unrestricted public-domain material.

07 / Terms

Tutorials, code examples and security

Programming instructions, terminal commands, SQL statements, deployment steps, configuration examples, AI-related guidance and sample software are provided for information and education. Some material may depend on version, operating system, package settings, hosting environment or vendor policies. Articles may contain typographical mistakes, omissions or outdated practices.

Review unfamiliar code, test it in a controlled environment, use backups, and follow current official vendor documentation before changing production systems. Never execute untrusted commands with elevated privileges, publish secrets, delete data without backups or skip security validation solely because an article suggests a shortcut.

We may correct or remove material, but we do not promise to review every user submission or continually retest every published article.

08 / Terms

Advertising, sponsored content and outside links

The website uses Google AdSense advertising and may display advertisements supplied by Google and approved partners. Sponsored placements and affiliate relationships, where present, should be identified appropriately. Advertising is distinct from editorial recommendations, and a displayed third-party ad is not a guarantee, endorsement or contractual offer by Onooks Dev.

External documentation, libraries, repositories, user links, software downloads and embedded content are controlled by their respective providers. Review their current terms, privacy notices, security posture and licence terms before using them. We are not responsible for a third party’s own contractual commitments or practices except as required by law.

09 / Terms

Moderation, removal and enforcement

We may review, edit for clarity, label, hide or remove submissions, restrict visibility, suspend accounts or block misuse where objectively justified by these Terms, safety requirements or applicable law. Measures should be proportionate to the issue; not all reported content will be unlawful or removed.

To help us evaluate a report, identify the exact URL, the material of concern, your reason and supporting details. We may ask for further information where necessary and may preserve limited evidence of harmful activity for legitimate security or legal reasons.

Decisions relating to allegedly illegal content are also addressed in the reporting section below. Member data handling is described separately in the Privacy Policy.

10 / Terms

Illegal-content notices and Digital Services Act

If you believe publicly hosted content is unlawful, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject “Onooks.com illegal content notice”. Provide the specific URL, a reasonably substantiated explanation of the alleged illegality, your name and email unless an applicable legal exception permits anonymity, and a statement that the information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. Reports involving threats or immediate danger should also be sent to the appropriate authorities.

We will assess actionable reports, apply applicable legal requirements and communicate the outcome and available remedies where required. Affected users can request review using the same contact details. The EU Digital Services Act may impose additional notice-handling, reason-giving, complaint and transparency duties depending on the service classification and applicable exemptions; nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory rights.

For official authority contact under applicable law, use [email protected]. Communications may be submitted in English or Romanian.

11 / Terms

Copyright complaints and corrections

Rights holders can report allegedly infringing material via [email protected]. Include the location of the content, the original work or a sufficiently clear description, your authority to act and a reliable way to contact you. If you believe an article contains an error, submit the URL and evidence explaining the correction needed.

Knowingly false notices may have legal consequences. We consider the rights of affected authors and users alongside applicable intellectual-property law and any mandatory notice-and-action rules.

12 / Terms

Personal data, cookies and Google services

Website accounts, community posts, analytics, advertising and cookies involve separate legal and technical considerations. See the Privacy Policy for the operator, legal bases and data-rights procedures, and the Cookie Policy for WordPress, Google Analytics, AdSense and cookie-choice information.

Terms of use do not replace the legally required consent choices for non-essential technologies. Use of a public page does not itself constitute consent to advertising personalization.

13 / Terms

Changes, availability and continuity

We may update articles, correct errors, alter the information architecture, maintain the site, temporarily restrict functionality or discontinue features. Operational changes can affect historic URLs, uploaded files and account features. We do not guarantee a particular uptime, response time or perpetual preservation of freely provided content.

Where a change materially affects an existing contractual service or user rights, we will provide legally required notice. The current version and effective date of these Terms will remain available on this page.

14 / Terms

Responsibility and limits of liability

We aim to provide helpful and accurate materials, but no technical tutorial or community answer can be warranted to work across all environments. To the fullest extent permitted by law, free editorial and community content is offered on an “as available” basis without a promise of suitability for a particular project. Users must independently assess deployment, financial, operational and security risks.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from intentional misconduct, mandatory consumer protections or other non-excludable legal rights. Restrictions are applied only to the extent valid under applicable Romanian and EU law.

15 / Terms

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Romanian law, subject to applicable European Union law and mandatory rights of consumers in other jurisdictions. This provision does not remove rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived, including competent courts under applicable consumer and private-international-law rules.

Before initiating a dispute, you may contact [email protected] with relevant facts. You may also approach competent courts, authorities or statutory complaint bodies without obtaining our permission or relinquishing legal rights.

16 / Terms

Contact and effective date

These terms take effect on 20 October 2026 and may be revised to address legal requirements, new functionality or changes to how the community operates. Material changes may be announced on the website when appropriate.

For account issues, corrections, copyright concerns or content reports, reach us through Onooks.com/contact or email [email protected].
