Choosing a specific column or cell for data to be entered into?

The script below places a static time stamp into column A whenever column B is edited. function onEdit() { var s = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSheet(); if (s.getName() == “Sheet1″) { var r = s.getActiveCell(); if (r.getColumn() == 2) { var nextCell = r.offset(0, -1); if (nextCell.getValue() === ”) nextCell.setValue(new Date()); } } } However, I would like […]

How does training a neural network using a metaheuristic like PSO work?

I want to learn a bit more about other approaches to training neural networks and I can find a fair bit of literature on GA training a network but not much on PSO training. How does that work? I have a general idea: you create a swarm of so many particles and use the network […]

How shall I deal with the repositories with different status in the output of apt update?

In the output of apt update running on Lubuntu 18.04, what does the first word in each line mean? They can be Hit, Get, Ign, Err, E, N, and W. Which values of the first word deserve attention to deal with, and how? I think my repository information is a mess, and I would like […]

Line Bundle with Everywhere Nonzero Section is Trivial

I’d like to show that a topological line bundle $(\pi,E,B)$ is trivial if there exists a section $\sigma : B \to E$ such that $\sigma(b) \neq 0$ for all $b$. I’ve been considering the map $B \times \mathbb{R} \to E$ given by $(b,\lambda) \mapsto \lambda \sigma(b)$, but I’m having trouble verifying that this map is […]

Finding elliptic curve with $P=[m]R$

To avoid X-Y problem I am going to write my problem down in detail, so plz bear with me. The elliptic curve over $Q$ given by a Weierstrass equation is – $E := y^2 +a_1 xy +a_3 y = x^3 + a_2 x^2+a_4x+ a_6$, $a_i\in \mathbb{Z}$, Let us define the coefficient vector as $V_E= [a_1, […]

Closed form solution of tricky nonlinear equation system

I am developing a solution for a Chemical Engineering course, and I came across an interesting (tricky) equation system, for which I am curious if it is possible to solve it explicitly (closed form solutions). I am not interested in the solution “per-se” as I could just use MATLAB or any other program to get […]

Cumulative sum for each row of data for the same ID

I have this data frame: df=data.frame(id=c(1,1,2,2,2,5,NA),var=c(“a”,”a”,”b”,”b”,”b”,”e”,”f”),value=c(1,1,0,1,0,0,1),cs=c(2,2,3,3,3,3,NA)) and I want to have the cumulative sum for each group for each row of data, I tried this but this doesn’t do the trick: df%>%arrange(id,var)%>%group_by(id,var)%>%mutate(cs=cumsum(value)) this doesn’t do the trick as I don’t get the same cumsum per group. Any suggestions?
