Polari doesn’t join any chatroom. ‘Join’ button stays greyed-out (disabled)

I’m trying to use polari IRC client on Ubuntu Focal (20.04) without success. The ‘Join’ button stays greyed-out (disabled) no matter which server or chatroom I choose.
