Howto get rid of white screen splashes between pages with DarkReader on Firefox?

I’m using the latest Firefox 73.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.
And I’m using the DarkReader AddOn (Or here at GitHUB) at night, which takes care of automatically creating a dark background to reduce eyestrain. Except for some minor (well…) inconveniences, it works great on SO and other sites.

But one problem still remains:
When I open a new page (or refresh it), there will still occur a blinding white background for a second or so (or even more) before the background turns black. This is highly annoying.

How can I get rid of that?
And is this a browser bug or a one of the DarkReader?
