[ Diet & Fitness ] Open Question : Will the treadmill make my thighs and hips slimmer OR curvier?

I have an event at the end of the month that I want to look great for. I know I started kind of late. But I think 3 weeks is enough time to at least lose a couple lbs. Anyways, my concern is that if I walk the treadmill everyday for an hour, I will get thicker(curvy). I want to slim my hips and thighs down so bad. I want to look thin\skinny as opposed to thick\curvy. I dont want to tone, I want to look skinnisr. Help me
