How to extract these data items from JSON file?

Why is added to package.json an empty line

Every time we add a new plugin to Cordova cordova plugin add cordova-plugin-splashscreen is added inside of package.json to dependencies and plugins inside cordova. Convert XML to JSON and print it in JAVA [on hold]

Do they know if it’s possible to parse an XML file and straight to JSON, in Java and print it to console? I’ve found solutions using DOM Parser to read an XML file and then I serialize to JSON with object mapper.
