How can an open close event be binded to a Drupal 8 Modal?

Drupal 8 uses the jQuery Dialog to handle its modals. They also provide “data-dialog-options” as a means to configure the jQuery Dialog options in links. However, is it possible to bind methods/events within these link attributes? Something like “data-dialog-methods” or “data-dialog-events”. Currently “data-dialog-options” allows you to configure options from the following: https://api.jqueryui.com/dialog/ Thanks.
