I’ve seen some posts about this issue however none of the solutions seemed to work, it seems to be a windows/cmd issue rather than python but I will use python as an example.
So, I was able to open command prompt and type Example.py and it would run this script.
Now, I try and run the script, it hangs for ~0.5s and then returns nothing – whereas if I execute python Example.py it will print ‘Hello’ the console.
However, the strange thing about this issue is that if I were to do:
Example.py – it would not work
But, if i do:
cmd /c Example.py It will run.
What I have tried:
Default App for different extensions (In windows settings), Assoc & ftype in command prompt itself
I am trying to figure this out but the people that have had this issue before have had it solved by using assoc & ftype to manually assign.
Many thanks 🙂
