Thyristor turn off time in circuit with RL load?

For circuits like this where the src is turned on, and should turn off in beta as shown in the second image. What happens when the diode doesnt conduct after pi, when the voltage is negative, will the src turn off when the diode stops conducting ?

Fourier Transform Time Scaling Property using f (frequency) or w (omega – angular frequency)

The time scaling property for a fourier transform is as follows: My book shows this property in terms of \$f\$; however, my instructor likes to use \$\omega\$. I have also seen this property written as: I am confused because \$f = 2\pi\omega\$. So how can the property be written the same with \$f\$ and \$\omega\$ […]

Help a noob, no idea on Programming, only started 2 days ago Help please

As said no programming skills only started 2 days ago when Nano arrived. Heads in bits. This is how far i got. Any help much appreciated.. int EMagnetPin = 8; int solenoidPin = 9; int ReedPin = 13; void setup() { pinMode(EMagnetPin, OUTPUT); // assign pin type pinMode(solenoidPin, OUTPUT); // assign pin type pinMode(ReedPin, INPUT); […]

How do I find where the DHCP client attempted to request it’s previously used IP address but failed?

How do I find where the DHCP client attempted to request it’s previously used IP address but failed? My guess is that it’s packet number 3 because it has the DHCP request thing on it. Is that right or wrong? If wrong, what should I look out for. How can I tell?

Powering multiple led strips by one switch

I have a problem I cannot figure out. I have this circuit which should control two LED strips either by wemos OR (methods are switched between by SPDT because I don’t know automatic way) manually. Each "switch" should be able to turn on one or both leds. Circuit details Wemos uses two N-mosfets (irlml2502) to […]

Power supply for DIY Arduino CNC Router

I am making a CNC router from a dremel and 3-5 NEMA 17 steppers. I am really confused on how I can power all those motors. I am using a RAMPS 1.4 with Arduino Mega. I have a 2.4A USB power supply. Is that enough? If not, what is the minimum specs I need to […]

What happens if a motor draws more amps than a battery can provide?

Lets say I have a motor which draws 25 amps and the battery I’m using can only provide 20 amps. I would assume this would cause a drop in voltage and poorer performance of the motor, but is this potentially dangerous or could the battery be damaged? Another scenario, the motor again draws 25 amps […]

Electromagnetic farady’s law direction

I have a question about direction of vectoral line integral in formula of electric potential and electric field. In electrostatic I assumed \$B\$ is positive potential and \$A\$ is negative potential so the boundary of the integral is negative to positive and also there is a minus sign outside the integral, and also \$d\ell\$ direction […]
