Meaning of these wildcards/paths *~ .*~ \#*\#

In a Makefile I am studying I saw the following line: @rm -f *~ .*~ \#*\# Probably because these are special characters and hard to search, I can’t find anything about the meaning of: *~ .*~ \#*\# They do not appear to be defined in the GNU make manual, so I guess these are file […]

xfce – How to unbind Super shortcut from whiskermenu

Hope you are having a fantastic week. I’ll jump straight to the topic. I’m using xfce-Kali 2020.1b, xfce v4.14. I wanted to assign Super to xfce4-appfinder in place of whiskermenu because it was way more responsive on my cb machine. I was able to bind and use xfce4-appfinder but was unable to disable whiskermenu’s shortcut […]

I’m trying to get the ATtiny13A to run on 3.3V which, if I’m not wrong, would be possible. I’ve programmed the chip using an Arduino Uno. I’m doing a simple blinking LED example and when I power the ATtiny with Arduino’s 5V pin it works without any problem. If I power it with Arduino’s 3.3V […]

Can a computer in a network use its own dns and bypass a router?

If my home router is using opendns, is it possible for a computer to override their own DNS settings and it would bypass all the opendns rules? Or since all traffic is coming via the home router, all dns queries will be resolved by the routers setup?
